A bottle of TestoTEk just came across my desk (that’s literally a bottle of Testo tek sitting on my desk to the right). The first thing I always do when this happens is to take a good, hard look at the ingredients formula before trying out the product.
What I found was actually quite promising…

Testotek is made up of all natural ingredients – the dosages are safe and in high enough quantities to be effective in boosting testosterone production. The only downside is that it does not contain Magnesium which has been scientifically proven to help in the biosynthesis of testosterone by multiple studies. Overall it is a pretty good testosterone booster – I give it four stars.

Below I will get into my analysis of the ingredients – basically looking at whether Testotek is safe and has ingredients that are scientifically proven to work. Then I will move on to some reviews I found online from others before getting into how I found it for myself.

So without further ado,

Ingredient Analysis:

Vitamin D3 (as Cholecalciferol): 2000 IU

Vitamin D3 is one of the most important ingredients I look for in a testosterone booster.

Testotek has a fairly healthy dosage of Vitamin D. In one study 200 men took 3332 IU of vitamin D per day for one year. The researchers observed a significant increase in free testosterone levels among the sample group at the year’s end. As you can see from this study, it is possible to take as much as 3332 IU per day. However, 2000IU is a good amount to be sure you stay safe as taking too much vitamin D can be bad for your liver.

Vitamin K (as Menaquinone): 50 mcg

Vitamin K is important because it acts to aide and enhances the vitamin D3 by allowing your body to absorb and use more of it. The fact it comes as Menaquinone is a bonus as this is a more bioactive form of Vitamin K that allows for enhanced absorption.

Vitamin B2 (as Riboflavin): 20mg

Riboflavin is an essential micro-nutrient needed to produce testosterone. However, it is very common in everyday foods so although it is great to see it in here; I am not too fussed about its inclusion or exclusion.

Vitamin B6 (as Pyridoxine HCI): 50 mg

There is no evidence to support the effectiveness of Vitamin B6 as a testosterone booster in humans, although studies on rats have shown it can help. The scientific evidence seems to be inconclusive on this one. However, this more down to a lack of scientific studies than anything else.

Pantothenic Acid: 10 mg

Also known as Vitamin B5, this is not a common supplement for most people. A study in Japan did show that low levels of testosterone did seem to correlate with low levels of Vitamin B5 in the body. However, this is the only evidence I could find.

Zinc: 25 mg

Zinc is a very effective testosterone booster, in fact, it is one of my must have ingredients. There have been multiple studies that prove the effectiveness of zinc in raising testosterone production. Zinc also neutralizes the hormone prolactin. Prolactin is responsible for enabling women to produce breast milk and can reduce the impact of testosterone in men. So neutralizing this hormone is good news for your testosterone levels.

D Aspartic Acid: 2000 mg

This is my favorite ingredient to see in a testosterone booster. In fact, I wouldn’t buy a product that didn’t have DAA in it. In one study, men taking d-aspartic acid boosted their testosterone levels by 42% in just 12 days. Powerful stuff.

Mucuna Pruriens: 175 mg

There is a surprising amount of evidence supporting the ability of this herb to raise testosterone levels in men. One study on men with a low sperm count showed that regular dosage of Mucuna Pruriens could increase testosterone levels by 39%.

Stinging Nettle Root: 100 mg

Studies have shown that stinging nettle can help to maintain testosterone levels in aging men and stop testosterone production from declining. However, it does not increase testosterone production. This is a great ingredient to mix into a testosterone booster because as the other ingredients increase T levels, this ingredient will help maintain higher levels.

Fenugreek: 50 mg

Fenugreek has been linked to increased T levels in multiple studies. It has been shown to inhibit enzymes that break down testosterone. In these studies, most of the subjects have been able to increase muscle mass and reduce fat making this an ideal workout supplement.

Oyster Body Extract: 70 mg

Oysters contain high levels of Zinc, meaning you are getting zinc again but in a different form. The difference is that the Zinc contained in oysters tends to help a lot with libido and the production of sperm by the testes.

Siberian Ginseng: 50 mg

Ginseng certainly plays a role. In particular, it has been shown to improve sperm count. However, there is not a lot of evidence to support its direct impact on testosterone production. It’s nice to have but not essential.

Ingredients Overview:

This is a very comprehensive ingredients formula that contains a lot of different components that work well together. However, I would have liked to see Magnesium in there to round it off. Regardless, this is a solid product that is up there in quality.

Testotek Dosage Levels:

The dosage levels of all the ingredients look safe and effective to me. The recommended dosage is four pills a day, meaning one bottle lasts for 30 days. This is pretty standard for testosterone boosters.

TestoTek Results from Users:

Although I found a few people who hadn’t seen results yet, they were typically either just starting out with the product, or they already had high testosterone levels. In general, the reviews are very positive.

TestoTek Side Effects: I could find no reports of side effects among users. The ingredients formula looks very safe to me, so this is not surprising.
